Joliet Area USBC Association Elections
The JAUSBCYA would like to thank the 146 bowlers who attended the merge board meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd. Thank you to all of the nominees elected and not elected, as all of you have shown great dedication towards the members of the Joliet Area USBC community.
Starting August 1, 2017 our new board members are:
President - Joe Pomykala, Sr.
Vice Presidents - Anthony Arbuthnot, Lavon Picco, and Scott Ullian
Sgt at Arms - Jan Coble
Association Manager - Dan Little, Jr.
Youth Directors - Maria Amir, Kristin Johnson, Lisa Ullian, Ryan Cavanaugh, Chuck Hubbs, and Larry Helton.
Directors - Rita Heather, Cassandra "Sam" Koivula, Sue Polesel, Carol Johnson, Chuck Sellars, Will Artley, Sharon Voss, Debbie Klein, Judy Jordan, Libby Hall and Linda Dixon.
Also, we would like to express great appreciation to the Merged Board Transition Committee for the effort they put forth to get us to the election and to Barb Smith and her nominating committee for all of their hard work on the election process.
Although these elected board members will continue work diligently to keep growing and promoting the sport of bowling, please keep in mind that there is always a need for volunteers and supporting committee members. Contact any board member to express your interests.

2016-17 Awards Banquet
On June 4th, 72 youth bowlers and their families were invited to attend the Joliet Area USBC Youth Association Awards Banquet. The event was held at the Lockport American Legion, Post 18 in Lockport, IL. President, John Kramer and Association Manager. Scott Ullian presented trophies, plaques and scholarship certificates to individuals earning honors in High Game, High Series, High Average, Pins Over Average, Most Improved, and All Events. Trophies were also presented to the Prince, Princess and Court.
In addition, 7 of the 31 individuals who entered into the JAUSBCYA Written Scholarship Award were also awarded scholarships as follows: Trevor Amir ($800), Andrew Bean ($700), Laura Rohlfs ($600), Braden Kidd ($500), Aiden Bean ($400), Dana Ackerson ($300) and Hailey Bozych $200).
